Sc-045s "Ring Bit"

A simple, dependable bit that works on just about anything.

The SC-045S is our locked-mouthpiece version of an O-ring, giving you instant contact when you pick up your reins. Because the mouthpiece is locked in place, there is less movement before the horse feels your cue, making the response quicker and more direct than a loose O-ring.

It is a great place to start with a young horse, but it is just as useful on a seasoned horse that needs a clean, uncomplicated feel for everyday riding, slow work, or tuning.

Best For
Young horses learning basic rein cues, seasoned horses that prefer a simple setup, or riders wanting quick, direct contact without adding leverage.

Feel
Simple, direct, and consistent. The locked mouthpiece gives you immediate contact while keeping the familiar feel of an O-ring.

Rider Note
One of those bits every tack room should have. It is simple enough to start one in, but still handy when an open horse just needs to go back to a clean, basic feel.
